Where are Seren Dolls made?
Each doll is lovingly designed and created by hand in my home studio in the United Kingdom
What are Seren Dolls made from?
Their bodies are made from high quality cotton fabric and double stitched for robustness. They are stuffed with fire-resistant, recycled polyfil. Hair is a mix of merino wool and alpaca yarns. I strive to always use high quality materials and love to incorporate vintage buttons and lace where possible.
Can Seren Dolls be played with?
Due to their handcrafted nature and small parts, Seren Dolls are recommended for gentle, supervised play. Because of their small parts such as buttons and hair, both of which can be a choking hazard, they are not suitable for children under the age of 3. Before this age they make a beautiful decoration.
How can I find out when dolls will be available to buy from your shop?
I post on Instagram and Facebook as soon as dolls are listed. If you want to be the first to know when they are available, I recommend turning on page notifications for my Instagram page so you receive a message each time I post. You can also join my email list.
A doll says 'sold out', will you be restocking it?
Each Seren Doll is totally unique and once they're gone, they're gone! However I add new dolls to my shop frequently - sign up for my newsletter & follow me on instagram, facebook for updates about new releases and restocks! I also offer a year-round custom service - read more here
Additional clothing and accessories
I can make extra clothes and accessories for your doll. I offer a wide range of options that can be pre-ordered in my shop, but I can also make custom items for you.
How do I care for my new friend?
Seren Dolls should not be washed, but can be spot cleaned with a soft damp cloth using warm water. I recommend displaying the dolls out of direct sunlight as this can lead to fabrics fading over time.
What payment options are available?
Bank cards and Paypal payments are accepted. If you would like to spread the cost of a doll I also offer a Payment Plan for dolls in my shop so you pay for half of the cost upfront as a non-refundable deposit and pay the remainder of the balance within 30 days. The doll is despatched once the second payment has been made. If the second payment isn't made by the due date the doll will be listed for sale again. To organise a payment plan get in touch, letting me know the name of the doll you would like to purchase.
What is your return/exchange policy?
Due to the bespoke nature of my dolls and the environmental impact of shipping items across the world more than once, I do not accept returns. However, if you are unhappy with anything regarding your order I will of course work together with you to resolve any issues.
How long does it take you to ship my order?
I go to the post office once a week, usually on a Friday. Lead times for custom orders will be advised when you place an order.
If you are ordering a doll for a special occasion, please let me know and I can send it sooner. Bear in mind that the customs process in your country can add time to your overall shipping time.
UK doll orders by special delivery will arrive by 1pm the next working day. Second class takes 3-5 days. International orders take 5-7 days to arrive. Please note that these are estimates and cannot be guaranteed. Actual delivery time will depend on the efficiency of your local mail service and customs procedures in your country.
How do you send dolls?
I use Royal Mail to send dolls in the United Kingdom and their International Tracked and Signed service to send dolls to other countries. You will receive a tracking number for your order and will have to sign for it when it is delivered. Your doll will be insured in the event that a package is lost, stolen or damaged. I can not take responsibility for an orders lost in the mail and recommend selecting insurance that covers the cost of your doll.
Buyers are responsible for all international customs and excise fees. The cost varies by country, so please check this out locally before you purchase a doll. I am unable to refund any orders that are sent back as a result of customs and excise fees. It is illegal for me to mark items as a 'gift' on customs labels.
